Here is an extract from our science fiction story
'Star Twins Complete' that can be found on the
link above:
Far out in one of the spiral arms of the galaxy the main core of
the Cryton fleet, twelve 'K' class battleships lay silently in a
circle guarding the command star ship 'Jyton.' The 'Jyton' a
huge circular star ship, the size of a large city, was
dominating the surrounding guardian escorts. In the control
cabin the Cryton fleet commander, Gron, sat at the command
desk peering intently at the display screen.
The cabin door slid open and Krah appeared, a tall armour
clad figure silhouetted in rays of harsh red light. Three Cryton
guards carrying heat phasers flanked him. Two large luminous
eyes glared from beneath his mask. He scanned around the
control room and took in everything at a glance.
'Situation report.' Krah growled.
Gron sprang to his feet and turned to face the intruder.
'All goes according to plan my lord.' He replied 'However the
seventh fleet reports facing fierce resistance from the
inhabitants of the planet Jur and advances have been
temporarily halted.'
'Then how can you state all is going to plan?' Krah snarled.
'The delay is only temporary my lord, we -.'
'There should be no delay you fool,' interrupted Krah. 'Order
renewed efforts.'
'My lord we have lost twelve cruisers there already we -.'
Krah strode forward and crashed his steel gloved fist on the
control desk.
'I don't care if we lose the whole fleet.' He shouted. 'They are
all expendable. Send in reinforcements - now!'
'Yes my lord.' Gron replied. 'I will order the -.'
He was interrupted by one of the operators.
'My lord, we have picked up a faint signal which appears to
emanate from somewhere in the star system Vila. It appears
to be granting permission for one of the Wanderers to enter
the off limit area.'
Krah spun round, his eyes glowing brighter. He glared at the
operator.
'Vila? You must be mistaken idiot. There has been no contact
with Vila for millenniums.'
'No my Lord the source of the signal is positively confirmed.'
Replied the operator nervously.
'Ah! This is significant development. Tema has finally surfaced.
They must be now concerned. They are fools. It is too late for
them to become involved. However - the Off Limit Area? Why?
For what purpose has the Federation granted this special
permission to a mere Wanderer?'
'We do not know the reason my lord.' The operator replied.
'Then find out idiot! Don't just sit there! That is what you are
here for. Find this menial Wanderer. Eliminate him.'
'But it means entering the Off Limit area my lord.' The operator
protested weakly.
'Do it!' Krah thundered. 'Do you think I care about the emerging
planet civilisations? We will take them all. Everything will be
ours in a short while. Keep me informed.'
He spun round, waved his hand at his guards to indicate that
they should follow him, and strode off through the entrance.
